Seeking a new partner

We are seeking a National Transport Partner to support our growing charity and to increase the number of lives we can change each year.

Australia-wide there are tens of thousands of people who want to make a positive difference in the world and to the lives of others in a way which is achievable and tangible – many of whom contact Soles4Souls Australia (The Butterfly Movement Ltd.) wanting to donate shoes. The opportunity therefore is to work together with a national transport partner to help bring it all together and make a world of difference.

At Soles4Souls Australia we offer a life changing opportunity to people as young as 5 or 95 wishing to make this difference, and we need a means to support them in contributing. The key element which is needed to support the logistics is a National Transport sponsor which will enable supporters throughout Australia to collect and donate shoes for easy transportation to South Australia. In SA the shoes are then sorted, packed and re-distributed around the world – predominantly in Australia and Africa.

A National Transport Partner will make it possible for more Australians to change tens of thousands of lives each and every year in addition to supporting meaningful employment for people with disabilities who will be doing all our sorting and packing in the future (more details of this will be announced later in 2013).

In a nutshell:
– Shoes change lives by improving health and providing opportunities in education, employment and sport
– We distribute shoes around the world including to Australian indigenous people through various programs
– We are launching a partnership soon which will provide employment for Australians with disabilities as they will undertake all the sorting and packing of the shoes and all other prep work.   (we just need a means to get more shoes easily and at little to no cost Australia-wide to these staff based in SA)

Since the launch of our first shoe drive in September 2011:
– More than 100,000 pairs of shoes have been received and re-distributed

– Hosted a volunteer trip to Tanzania to distribute shoes
– Engaged thousands of volunteers in South Australia and interstate
